Sound Boxes
Sound or Elkonin Boxes build phonological awareness skills by segmenting words into individual sounds or phonemes.
You can use counters, letter tiles, tokens, etc., to move into a box to represent the sound. Make sure you use different colored items to differentiate between consonants and vowels.
