The greatest lesson I’ve learned is that educators are multifaceted. We coach, design curriculum, desegregate data, advocate for our students, consult, advise students of their academic goals, facilitate professional development, and tutor our scholars. One of the most common questions is, “How did you start your educational business?” Unfortunately, I didn’t have someone to walk me through the process. Through trial and error, I was able to build a successful business and then transition into an educational consulting firm. Becoming an entrepreneur is not easy, but it's worth it.
