Special Education Advocacy Testimony

I hired Ty as my Educational Advocate to help me navigate IEP meetings and craft a plan to benefit my son and his educational needs. She reviewed his IEP and suggested an amendment so his IEP goals and objectives would align with his present levels of academic performance instead of using generalized Common Core Standards. At this last annual meeting, she requested an AT Assessment, which I did not know existed; the results finally showed the school district what I had been stating were areas that needed to be addressed for quite some time but, until that point, had not been. I felt such a huge weight and burden lifted off of me. I am so thankful that I hired her to be a part of the IEP team as the Educational Advocate year-round instead of just during the meetings. All of the services are superb! I had been seeking help to uniquely address my concerns regarding my son’s challenge areas, and her company met them. Ty and her staff genuinely teach the child so they may succeed with any curriculum!
